WHAT IS sTMS?
sTMS is a non-invasive device designed to provide targeted migraine therapy. It uses neurostimulation to treat migraine pain in adults, offering a safe and drug-free option for those who experience migraine attacks.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
What is the most important information that I should know about sTMS?
sTMS delivers gentle pulses to specific areas of the head to help reduce migraine pain. This therapy is intended for those who have been diagnosed with migraines and are seeking an alternative to medication. sTMS is safe for at-home use and can be used during the early stages of a migraine for optimal results.
Always follow your healthcare provider’s recommendations for using sTMS. It’s important to use the device according to the instructions to achieve the best possible outcome in managing migraine pain. sTMS is intended for external use only.
How should I use sTMS?
Use sTMS as soon as you feel the onset of a migraine. Place the device so that it cradles the back of your head and press the treatment button to deliver a pulse. This non-invasive pulse aims to help reduce migraine pain and discomfort. If necessary, repeat the treatment as per your healthcare provider’s guidance.
Tell your healthcare provider if you have any medical conditions or use other medical devices.
sTMS may not be suitable for everyone. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any underlying medical conditions, especially if you have neurological issues, are pregnant, or have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker. Your provider will determine if sTMS is appropriate for you.
What are the side effects of sTMS?
sTMS is generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience mild side effects. These may include skin irritation where the device is placed, temporary dizziness, or a tingling sensation.
If you experience any side effects that bother you or do not go away after using sTMS, contact your healthcare provider. It is important to discuss any discomfort to determine whether continued use of sTMS is safe for you.
These are not all of the possible side effects of sTMS.
Call your healthcare provider for medical advice about side effects. Always read and follow the user guide that comes with the device.
